Parliament approves new amendments to the age limit for appointments to first-category posts and public administrations

Parliament approved the urgent draft law submitted under Decree No. 3013, aimed at amending certain provisions governing the determination of the age limit for appointments from outside the civil service roster to first-category positions within public administrations, in addition to the posts of directors-general and directors in public institutions, independent agencies, funds, councils, and bodies.

The bill was approved after amendments were introduced to it based on a proposal submitted by MP Ashraf Baydoun, in a step aimed at updating the legal framework governing appointment mechanisms to senior administrative positions.
