In a proactive humanitarian initiative aimed at alleviating the suffering of displaced families—especially mothers and children amid the difficult conditions they are enduring—the Mayor of the City of Choueifat, Nidal Al-Jurdi, accompanied by members of the municipal council, conducted a tour of displacement centers.

During the visit, flowers were presented to displaced mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day as a token of appreciation for their vital role and resilience in the face of challenges, and in recognition of their continuous efforts in caring for their families during this difficult period.

Gifts were also distributed to children in celebration of Children’s Day, in a gesture aimed at bringing joy to their hearts, putting smiles on their faces, and sending a message that children remain at the heart of attention despite all circumstances. The initiative was warmly received by the children and their families, contributing to an atmosphere of hope and human warmth within the shelters.
The mayor affirmed that this initiative is part of the ongoing efforts made by the Municipality of Choueifat, in cooperation with the crisis cell and relevant authorities, to follow up on the conditions of displaced families and secure their basic needs, in addition to providing them with moral and social support during this critical phase.

He also stressed that human solidarity and social cohesion remain among the most important pillars in confronting crises, expressing hope that these difficult circumstances will come to an end as soon as possible, allowing everyone to return safely and with dignity to their normal lives.
