What lies behind the Baabda movement?... Aoun opens the files of the phase that will change the scene

President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun received at Baabda Palace the acting head of the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Mr. Jean Arnault, accompanied by the Deputy Special Coordinator of the United Nations, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Imran Riza, and the Special Assistant to the Special Coordinator, Ms. Lina Qadwa.

Discussions during the meeting focused on the role of the United Nations in supporting Lebanon, the assistance it provides to back the Lebanese people, in addition to the challenges and difficulties hindering the implementation of humanitarian and development programs at the present stage.

As part of his political meetings, President Aoun reviewed with MP Michel Daher the latest general developments in the country in light of the rapidly unfolding events. The talks also addressed the economic situation and ways to tackle the crises facing Lebanon and strengthen the path to recovery.
