The head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, David Barnea, said on Tuesday that “the agency’s operations breached borders in Iran and Lebanon and obtained valuable information.”
In remarks he delivered, Barnea stressed that “the agency achieved strategic and tactical intelligence accomplishments at the heart of the enemy’s most sensitive secrets, and demonstrated new, groundbreaking and unprecedented operational capabilities inside target countries.”
He also confirmed a shift in the Mossad’s mode of operation, saying it had been transformed into an offensive and effective agency in wartime, after previously focusing on covert activity between wars.”
