Hamas announced its mourning for the martyr Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the commander-in-chief of the Qassam Brigades, considering his targeting to constitute “a crime with dangerous dimensions and timing.”
The movement stressed that these developments place the international community, as well as the mediating and guarantor states of any agreement, before direct responsibilities, calling for immediate action to compel Israel to abide by the terms of the agreement and halt what it described as ongoing violations.
Hamas emphasized that the continuation of international silence and the absence of effective pressure on the occupation have contributed to encouraging it to persist in its escalatory approach, warning of the consequences of the continuation of this course on the ground.
