Qabalan warns of “blowing up the domestic front and projects of sedition”

Jaafari Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan said in an Eid al-Adha message that “the Hajj signifies the one nation and its unifying civilizational project,” warning against “projects of division and fragmentation” in the region and in Lebanon.

Qabalan stressed that “America and Israel’s war on Iran has failed,” considering that “the resistance has won the greatest battle of historic steadfastness,” and that “nothing guarantees Lebanon’s sovereignty and borders except the resistance and the Lebanese Army.”

He emphasized that “the Lebanese authorities are heading toward dangerous options through surrender negotiations with Israel,” warning of “blowing up the Lebanese domestic front and igniting sedition,” and calling for “protecting civil peace and Lebanon’s unity.”

He also addressed President Joseph Aoun, affirming that “he can be the unifying president for Lebanon,” and calling for “preventing the tearing apart of the Lebanese interior.”

Qabalan also said that “Speaker Nabih Berri represents a national asset and a guarantee for comprehensive national solutions,” calling for “a Saudi-Iranian settlement to defuse the crises of the region and Lebanon.”
