Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri told Asharq Al-Awsat that “Lebanon is included in the ceasefire agreement with Iran, noting that Israelis have complied with it across Lebanon so far, except in the south, which is a violation of the agreement.”
Berri added, “The agreement clearly includes Lebanon, and this is what must be implemented.”
He revealed that he “contacted the Pakistani side to inform them of Tel Aviv’s non-compliance with the ceasefire and requested that they coordinate with the Americans to pressure Israel.”
He also noted that “he is in touch with multiple parties involved in the matter, and there are assurances that Lebanon is part of this agreement, without ruling out that Israel may attempt to ‘disrupt the agreement’ as it is the party most affected by it.”
