The Lebanese Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced in a statement that it has begun, through one of its contracted companies, maintenance and rehabilitation works on the coastal highway Beirut–Jounieh–Batroun–Tripoli, on the eastern carriageway, specifically along the stretch extending from Amchit to Madfoun.
The works come within the framework of the national “Lebanon on Track” plan, aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing road safety on major highways.
The ministry explained that the works will continue for ten days, starting on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and will be completed according to the specified schedule approved in advance.
The ministry stressed its commitment to carrying out the works to the highest standards of safety and efficiency, calling on citizens to fully comply with the instructions of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces personnel, follow the traffic signs posted at the work site, and cooperate to ensure smooth traffic flow and everyone’s safety until the works are completed.
