
A meeting was held in Mount Lebanon Governorate, bringing together Dalia Jumblatt, Minister of Public Works and Transport Faiz Rassamny, and Mount Lebanon Governor Muhammad Makawi, amid the humanitarian challenges resulting from recent events in Lebanon and the increasing number of displaced persons in shelters, particularly in the Mount Lebanon area.
The meeting was attended by the Progressive Socialist Party’s health affairs officer, Bassam Ghanem, the party’s Interior Commissioner, Youssef Daibes, and the team from the “Al-Farah Social Foundation.”
During the discussion, participants reviewed the conditions of the shelters in the region and the challenges they face, especially with the rising number of displaced persons. They also examined the coordination mechanisms between official authorities and relevant organizations to ensure a rapid and effective response to humanitarian needs.
The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between official institutions, supporting entities, and organizations on the ground to organize relief efforts and accelerate the delivery of essential services to displaced persons during this critical period.
