Former U.S. President Donald Trump commented on recent developments with Iran, noting that the situation has changed significantly over the past month. He stated that Iran “was strong a month ago, but no longer is.”
Trump highlighted the success of a secret operation to rescue the second soldier, saying: “We kept the rescue of the second soldier secret and managed to keep it under wraps for almost a day, which made the situation much better.”
He added that Tuesday marks the deadline for Iran, warning: “The war on Iran could end very quickly if they do what they must.”
Regarding Iranian negotiators, Trump emphasized that they “are logical and not extremists,” clarifying that the conflict revolves around one issue:
preventing Iran from possessing nuclear weapons.
On another note, he referenced Iranian oil and U.S. priorities, saying:
“If it were up to me, I would take Iranian oil, but unfortunately, the American people want us to come home.” He added: “We can leave now, but I want to complete the mission.”
