The Free Patriotic Movement, through its official account on X, denounced any offense against religious symbols in general and against Patriarch Bechara Al-Rahi in particular, given what Bkerki represents in the Christian and national conscience. It also condemned the rhetoric of incitement, hatred, and accusations of treason, which it had previously warned against in the text of the “Proposal to Protect Lebanon.”
It added: The Movement urges all Lebanese, including opinion leaders, parties, political figures, and media outlets, to uphold national responsibility, especially at a highly dangerous moment such as the one Lebanon is going through.
