New U.S. pressure on Lebanon... Hezbollah file at the forefront of the conditions

American sources told Al Arabiya that the United States is moving to separate the Lebanese file from the course of negotiations with Iran, in a step that confirms Lebanon is being treated as an independent issue, بعيد from any regional settlements.

According to the sources, Washington is demanding that the Lebanese authorities provide clear commitments ensuring the prevention of any military or security move by Hezbollah, alongside close U.S. monitoring of the possibility that the group could become involved in any escalation linked to Iran.

In contrast, Lebanon insists on the need to reach a comprehensive ceasefire before beginning to implement any agreement with Israel, in addition to its demand for a binding timetable for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory.
