
China’s Foreign Ministry affirmed that the confrontation between Iran and the United States should not have descended to this level of escalation, stressing the need to move quickly toward a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire and to prevent tensions in the region from worsening.
Beijing said that reaching an urgent settlement would serve the interests of both Tehran and Washington, in addition to its positive repercussions for regional and global stability, reiterating its commitment to dialogue as the most effective path for addressing crises.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also stressed that military solutions cannot provide a way out of the crisis, considering the opening of negotiation channels an opportunity that must be preserved and not allowed to close again, while underscoring the need to strengthen the current atmosphere of de-escalation.
China also called for the swift reopening of maritime shipping lanes in response to international demands, affirming that it will continue coordinating with the international community to support peace efforts and talks aimed at easing tensions between Iran and the United States.
