The Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, sent a message to Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem, stating:
“I received your message of condolences on the martyrdom of the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, as well as your message expressing love and affection on behalf of the Lebanese mujahideen in Hezbollah.
Without any hesitation, steadfastness, resilience, and patience in the face of the most formidable enemies of the Islamic world—the United States and its proxy in the region, the murderous Zionist entity—are among the most important qualities of the martyred Leader. This resistance and steadfastness have continued throughout the years of the leadership of this great Leader, producing precious martyrs like Haj Qasem Soleimani and other senior commanders in the Revolutionary Guard and the Army, as the clearest evidence of the credibility of this approach.
There is no doubt that the history of Islamic resistance has been full of struggle, courage, and martyrdom. Leaders of the resistance sacrificed their lives before the rest of the mujahideen without fearing any threat.
The leaders of Hezbollah, from the late Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Sayyed Abbas al-Mousawi to the beloved martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, have been exemplary of this approach.
Your Excellency, who have been at the forefront of this blessed resistance in Lebanon, are now leading this movement at this pivotal moment in the history of resistance. I hope that, with my knowledge of your insight, wisdom, intelligence, and courage, you will be able to thwart and crush the plans of the Zionist enemy and restore pride and dignity to the dear Lebanese people.
I reiterate that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s consistent policy, following the path of the late Imam and the martyred Leader, is to continue supporting the resistance against the Zionist-American enemy.
