Joumblatt congratulates Aoun on his speech in Washington and praises his approach to the Hezbollah weapons file

Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Joumblatt sent a message to President General Joseph Aoun, congratulating him on his recent speech at the Lebanese Embassy in Washington and praising the “excellent approach” he adopted in addressing the issue of Hezbollah’s weapons.

Joumblatt’s message, written in English, read:

“Dear President Aoun, Congratulations for your speech and your excellent approach for the issue of the weapons of Hezbollah. Deep respect, Walid Joumblatt.”
