By virtue of a judicial order, Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Claude Ghanem tasked the Lebanese Army Intelligence Directorate, the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces, and the General Directorate of State Security with taking the necessary measures and conducting the required investigations to uncover the identities of the gunmen who opened fire in a number of Lebanese areas last night, following the announcement of a ceasefire.
Judge Ghanem urged the security agencies to work on “tracking down the suspects and arresting them, in addition to raiding and searching their residences, seizing the weapons used in the shooting incidents, and drawing up the necessary reports on these measures,” stressing “the need to follow developments and keep the judiciary informed of all new developments as they emerge.”
