Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said his country had emerged from the confrontation “more united and determined,” warning that “the enemies will pay the price for their aggression,” as he put it.
Baghaei accused the United States of launching attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, arguing that Washington is seeking to project its power by striking non-military facilities and causing civilian casualties.
He noted that the recent US attacks, according to his account, led to the deaths of eight Iranian citizens in Hormozgan province, including four women and four men, adding that the victims included two siblings with special needs.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman described these operations as “new war crimes,” stressing that his country would continue confronting what he called “aggression” and responding to what it considers a violation of its sovereignty.
