
Information Minister Paul Morkos, after meeting the President of the Republic at Baabda Palace:
- I briefed His Excellency on the moves being coordinated with the Foreign Ministry and international bodies to confront the Israeli attacks on journalists.
- We held meetings with international officials and European ambassadors, and submitted protest memorandums to protect media professionals while carrying out their work.
- I presented to His Excellency the President the efforts of the Information Ministry during the recent period, particularly in light of the war and the current challenges.
- We are working to strengthen cooperation with local and international organizations, including UNESCO and the Red Cross, to launch awareness campaigns and unify the national discourse.
- We stressed the need to steer clear of hate speech in the media and on social media because of its dangers to civil peace.
