Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez told members of parliament that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to inflict on Lebanon "the same level of damage and destruction" that Israeli forces caused in the Gaza Strip, according to Reuters.
Sánchez, appearing before parliament to explain his government’s position against the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, added that Iran’s new Supreme Leader is more hardline than his predecessor.
He said: "Mostafa Khamenei is a dictator just as much, if not more, bloodthirsty than his father."
