On March 27, 2026, a citizen filed a complaint with the Hadath station of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit against an unknown person for stealing from inside his home, stating that the stolen items included hunting rifles, gold jewelry, and some personal belongings.
As a result of the intensive follow-up and investigations carried out by the station, suspicion fell on one of the complainant’s neighbors. He was summoned that same day to the station headquarters. He was identified as J. F. (born in 1960, Lebanese), and it was found that he had a prior criminal record.
During questioning, he confessed to carrying out the theft by sneaking in, forcing open the door of the complainant’s house, and stealing hunting rifles, gold jewelry, valuable watches, and other belongings.
He also directed the station officers to the location where the stolen items had been hidden. The items were recovered and returned to their owner.
The detainee was handed over to the Baabda Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit for further investigation, based on the instructions of the judiciary.
