Salam’s office denies circulating report and confirms it is false

The media office of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam issued the following statement:

“Some social media platforms have circulated a fabricated report attributing alleged positions to Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam during a meeting they claimed took place with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, on April 21.

The media office of Prime Minister Salam wishes to deny this report in its entirety and confirms that it is completely false and purely fictional.

The office clarifies that Prime Minister Salam did not hold any bilateral meeting with Ms. Kallas in Luxembourg. Rather, he delivered a speech before the ambassadors of the European Union member states assembled together, a speech that has been published and is available to the public.

While regretting that some platforms rely on fabricated news and anonymous sources, the office calls for accuracy and urges referring to official sources before publishing any information related to the Prime Minister’s positions or diplomatic activity.”
