Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special representative for economic cooperation and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, commented on developments in Europe’s energy crisis, pointing to what he described as the delayed response of European Union countries.
Dmitriev wrote on the X platform: “European Union countries, a month late, are only now beginning to move, slowly and smoothly, (to overcome) the biggest energy crisis.”
His remarks came in response to the Dutch government’s launch of the first phase of its plan to deal with the country’s oil crisis, in the wake of tensions and events witnessed in the Strait of Hormuz.
