
Lebanese University, headed by Bassam Badran, held a coordination meeting with the deans of its faculties and institutes, during which the administrative and technical aspects related to the return to in-person teaching were discussed, in addition to assessing the damage sustained by a number of branches as a result of the latest developments.
The meeting concluded with a set of organizational decisions, which stated:
"In-person teaching and laboratory work shall be adopted at the university’s faculties and branches in the second and third divisions that did not host our people displaced from the areas subjected to the Israeli aggression, effective April 22, 2026.
The directors of the university branches damaged by the Israeli aggression are requested to conduct a comprehensive survey of the damage and essential needs by no later than April 24 of this month, in preparation for resuming in-person teaching and laboratory work on a date to be determined later.
The university presidency will keep its meetings open to keep pace with requirements and ensure the proper conduct of academic work, and to announce any changes that may arise in the proposed teaching mechanisms."
