Regular maritime trips between Lebanon and Cyprus are set to resume starting June 9, in a move that will reconnect the two countries by sea after a suspension of nearly 20 years.
The new service will link the port of Jounieh with the Cypriot city of Larnaca, with the journey expected to take less than four hours, providing travelers with an additional option alongside air transport.
The route will be operated by Amwaj Al Arz, affiliated with the Abu Marai agency. Trips will depart from Jounieh on Wednesdays and Sundays at 9:00 a.m., and on Fridays at 10:00 a.m.
Ticket prices start at 88 euros one way, with costs varying depending on seat class and selected services.
The move is expected to help boost tourism and commercial activity between Lebanon and Cyprus, while meeting growing demand for alternative means of transport that offer greater flexibility for luggage and competitive costs, particularly during peak travel seasons.
