
Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar received Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari in his office on a farewell visit, during which he thanked him for the efforts he made during his tenure in Lebanon.
On the occasion, Al-Hajjar awarded Ambassador Bukhari the medal of the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities in appreciation of his role in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation between Beirut and Riyadh, in a way that serves shared interests and supports Lebanese state institutions.
Al-Hajjar stressed that coordination between the interior ministries of Lebanon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed notable progress in recent times, along with broad cooperation on a number of issues, most notably combating drugs, which is considered a priority for protecting societal security in both countries.
For his part, Ambassador Bukhari expressed his gratitude for the honor, praising the efforts made by the ministry and the Lebanese security agencies, particularly in combating drugs and enhancing stability.
