Kremlin Warns of Global Economic Fallout Amid Escalation, Comments on Trump’s Remarks on Hormuz

The Kremlin confirmed that negotiations over Ukraine are currently on hold, noting that the United States has many other issues requiring its attention at this time.

Regarding former US President Donald Trump’s statements about the Strait of Hormuz addressed to Tehran, Moscow said it has reviewed the comments but prefers not to comment at this stage.

Russia had warned even before the outbreak of military operations in Iran that negative repercussions on the global economy would be inevitable, emphasizing the seriousness of the aggression carried out by the United States and Israel against Tehran.

The Russian spokesperson said: “The aggression carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran has very serious consequences, including for the global economy.”

The Kremlin added that large sections of the “TurkStream” and “Nord Stream” pipelines have been repeatedly attacked by the Kyiv regime, noting that the situation is extremely serious.
