Al-Rahi: We pray for the negotiations to succeed

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi announced that “Lebanon is waiting for officials who draw inspiration from the Holy Spirit in their decisions, and for statesmen who safeguard the country’s message and role.”

Al-Rahi said in his Sunday Mass sermon: “We pray for the negotiations to succeed. Everyone who does good for Lebanon is a partner in its stability, and through its peace many are reassured.”

He added: “What we are seeing in terms of chaos and fear for Beirut calls us to take a responsible stand. This capital was built on coexistence and must not be left alone without a state that is present.”
