On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Director General of the National Social Security Fund, Dr. Mohammad Korki, extended holiday greetings to the Lebanese, saying in a statement:
"This year, the holidays have arrived to the beat of war drums, which have continued to weigh heavily on the Lebanese for months.
Now blessed Eid al-Adha is upon us as well, while the people of the homeland are still enduring the pain of loss and separation, and living through the bitterness of displacement and being away from their loved ones and homes.
Like the phoenix rising from its ashes into a new resurrection, the Lebanese prove time and again that they are a people whose will cannot be broken, no matter how severe the crises they face.
In appreciation of the spirit of this proud and steadfast people, and in faith in the Lebanese people’s ability to overcome hardship and hold fast to hope despite the harshness of circumstances, the Director General of the National Social Security Fund, Dr. Mohammad Korki, extends his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the Lebanese in general, and to Muslims in particular, on the occasion of blessed Eid al-Adha, asking Almighty God that this holiday bring reassurance and mercy to their hearts, and that it serve as an occasion to strengthen the values of unity, solidarity, compassion, and mutual support among the people of one الوطن."
Dr. Korki also expressed his hope that the coming period would witness breakthroughs that would ease the suffering of the Lebanese, and affirmed that the National Social Security Fund would remain, as it always has, committed to standing by their side and continuing to fulfill its national and social role, especially in light of the delicate and exceptional circumstances the country is going through.
