Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naeem Qassem sent a message to the party’s fighters, stating:
“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. To the honorable and noble sons of the Islamic Resistance, peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
I have received your messages from the field, after your flood of jihad spread across the regions. I respond with love and glimpses from the heart.
Your confrontation with the Israeli-American aggression is among the most honorable deeds, and the highest in rank before God Almighty and for those who believe in the right of humans to live freely, with dignity and honor.
You rise above the baseness of begging for the fleeting pleasures of tyrants and oppressors, holding firmly to the blessings God Almighty has granted you—faith and righteousness—so that the world comes humbled before you.
Your battlefields testify that you are heroes of combat and courageous on the frontlines. Your hearts are attached to God Almighty, drawing insight and courage from Him. Your role model is the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who in his address to his uncle said: ‘O uncle, by God, even if they placed the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left, I would not leave this cause until God manifests it or I perish in it.’
You face the brutal Israeli crimes, the savage American tyranny, and the West eager to claim a share in the river of pure blood, alongside the fearful or treacherous who seek a life of submission and humiliation… You confront the devils of the earth with the light of faith and jihad, remaining steadfast against all shocks. Your light brings the good news of a precious future and clear victory.
Hezbollah and its Islamic resistance remain in the position of legitimate defense, in the battle of “the devoured heap,” in defending the land, rejecting surrender, and protecting the existence and independence of the nation. This is the banner of truth raised by you, lifted by the jihad of the people of the resistance and the believers in it, along with their patience and great sacrifices.
History will record, as it has the present, that you are the flame of sacrifice and noble human giving, resisting in the toughest conditions with utmost confidence in victory, preventing enemies from achieving their goals.
With you, O lights of the resistance, our banner will not fall.
With you, O pioneers of freedom, the tyrants will fall.
With you, O defenders of the homeland, we ensure the future of our generations.
With you, O flame of giving, shines the sun of liberation and freedom.
Our path is the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), following the steps of the Ahl al-Bayt, confronting with honor and refusing humiliation, content with one of the two best outcomes: victory or martyrdom, choosing dignity over disgrace.
All the sacrifices we have made, led by the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah, Sayyid Hassan, Sayyid Abbas, Sheikh Ragheb, Sayyid Hashim, and the heroic martyrs, wounded, and prisoners, along with the great contributions of our people, all reinforce the path of our jihad and loyalty, serving as a great reserve for continuity, carrying the trust, and achieving our goals.
Our enemies are perplexed; their criminal pressure can only threaten death, which is in God’s hands. They cannot defeat you, while you have the means to defeat them. You are the rightful owners of the land, drawing strength from God Almighty, overcoming difficulties with confidence in God’s promise: ‘Fight them; God will punish them by your hands and humiliate them, and give you victory over them, and heal the hearts of believers’ (Al-Tawbah 14).
We continue together in our loyalty to our leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei (may his shadow endure), following the path of the nation’s martyr leader Imam Khamenei (may God sanctify his soul), on the path of the reviver of religion Imam Khomeini (may God sanctify his soul), in the path of the highest martyr, Sayyid Hassan (may God be pleased with him).
Our choice in confronting aggression, after fifteen months of patience for diplomacy, has revealed several truths: the courage of the resistance and its people in patience and precise adherence to covenants and pledges; the bravery in repelling attacks at the right moment; the meticulous preparation for the battle, with hidden capacities and their distribution, and the flexibility to move fighters from any location in Lebanon to the frontline to engage the enemy; the surprise of the enemy being foiled and our knowledge of their aggressive plans.
The available solution is to stop the aggression, withdraw from occupied territories, release the prisoners, and return the people of villages and towns to their homes with the start of reconstruction, and we are capable of achieving that.
The resistance continues on the field of honor regardless of the sacrifices, for the battlefield is what decides the battle.
Beloved fighters, I thank God endlessly that I am with you, enlightened by the noble spirit of sacrifice of our people who fearlessly embrace martyrdom, so that together we may taste the sweetness of liberation and dignity.”
