U.S. President Donald Trump, in recent remarks, stated that the Iranian leadership is “brutal and has killed 32,000 protesters,” adding, “Iranians are aggressive, and if they had nuclear weapons, they would have used them.”
Trump emphasized that canceling the nuclear deal was a decisive move to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, saying, “If I had not canceled the most stupid nuclear deal, Iran would have possessed a nuclear weapon and detonated it in the Middle East and bombed us.”
He clarified his stance on wars, affirming that he seeks peace through strength: “I do not wish for wars, and my principle is peace through strength.”
Trump also stressed that early military action helped prevent a catastrophic escalation, stating, “If we had not launched military operations against Iran, a nuclear war would have broken out and escalated into a third world war.”
He concluded his remarks by highlighting the effectiveness of these measures: “We inflicted severe damage on Iran in just two weeks, and what we accomplished was for the world.”
