Washington negotiations and displacement on the table at the Grand Serail... an international appeal expected Friday

Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam chaired the regular ministerial meeting.

After the meeting, Information Minister Paul Morcos said:

A ministerial meeting was held at the Grand Serail under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Judge Dr. Nawaf Salam, with the attendance of a number of ministers.

Prime Minister Salam opened the meeting with a briefing on the launch of negotiations at the military level in Washington. He also reviewed Lebanon’s intensive ongoing efforts with friendly and brotherly countries, focused on re-establishing the ceasefire.

The meeting also addressed the various aspects of the displacement file, particularly in light of recent developments. It was announced that a comprehensive report covering the past three months on the response to shelter and displacement needs will be issued tomorrow.

An urgent appeal to the international community (Flash Appeal) will also be launched on Friday, following up on the first appeal, with the aim of meeting the growing needs of the displaced amid the current decline in available resources.

The Minister of Defense also presented the military developments.
