The information confirmed that “Saudi Arabia stresses its commitment to internal unity in Lebanon, as well as to preserving the government and its prime minister, not the opposite,” as part of its support for the continuity of state institutions.
It also noted that “Saudi Arabia is keen to ensure that the internal situation in Lebanon does not slide, because the threats are being taken seriously,” reflecting close monitoring of potential risks.
It added that “Saudi Arabia is working on dialogue among the Lebanese parties to fortify the internal situation, because there is divergence or differentiation in the positions of the presidents, who are moving externally in a notable manner,” in an effort to bring viewpoints closer together.
