The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Rima Karami, issued Memorandum No. 23/M/2026, which sets the Easter holidays for the Christian Catholic and Orthodox communities. The memorandum states:
For the Christian Catholic communities, the holiday for Good Friday and Easter will begin on the morning of Thursday, April 2, 2026, and continue until the evening of Monday, April 6, 2026.
For the Christian Orthodox communities, the holiday for Good Friday and Easter will begin on the morning of Thursday, April 9, 2026, and continue until the evening of Monday, April 13, 2026.
On this occasion, the Minister of Education and Higher Education extends her sincere wishes to all education staff in both the public and private sectors, highly appreciating their efforts during this period in fulfilling their national responsibilities.
