
Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar conducted a series of contacts and field follow-ups from the ministry’s central operations room, where he reviewed the progress of the measures being carried out on the ground by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces, in the context of accompanying the ceasefire agreement.
Through a remote call with officers in the Internal Security Forces operations room, Al-Hajjar followed the details of the field measures in place, stressing the importance of strengthening security readiness in parallel with developments on the ground and the return of residents to a number of villages and towns.
In this context, he underscored the need to raise the level of coordination among the various security agencies, particularly with the Lebanese Army, in a way that ensures the preservation of security and order and facilitates the smooth flow of traffic during this phase.
He also contacted the concerned governors, urging them to remain at the highest level of readiness, give the necessary care to residents, work to meet their needs, and continuously follow up on their conditions.
In a related context, Minister Al-Hajjar also contacted Civil Defense Director General Brigadier General Staff Imad Khreiss, requesting greater participation in rubble removal operations and a swift response to citizens’ calls in the affected areas.
