Live monitoring from Baabda of the negotiations in Washington amid ongoing coordination with the Lebanese delegation

Al Jadeed reported that the Lebanese delegation taking part in the ongoing negotiations in Washington held a phone call with President Joseph Aoun at 5:30 p.m., after the first round of discussions was extended by about an additional half hour.

According to the information, the call lasted around thirty minutes, during which the delegation briefed President Aoun on the course of the deliberations and the preliminary results of the first round of talks.

The information also indicated the presence of a “working group” comprising advisers and experts who are following, together with the President, the various details related to the course of the negotiations and their developments.
