Trump: Iran tells us it is collapsing and asks for the Strait of Hormuz to be opened immediately

U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform:

"Iran has just informed us that it is in a state of collapse. They are asking us to open the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible, while they try to deal with their leadership situation, and I think they will be able to do so! Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Sources told the American network that intensive diplomatic efforts are continuing behind the scenes, and that the ongoing negotiations revolve around a phased process, with the first part of any potential agreement focused on returning to the pre-war status quo and reopening the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions or fees.

CNN had reported earlier, citing its sources, that the positions of Tehran and Washington are not as far apart as they appear, and that the possibility of opening the Strait of Hormuz first and postponing discussion of the Iranian nuclear file may be considered.
