Hezbollah’s Media Relations issued the following statement:
“After all the efforts made to calm the internal tension caused by the offensive and provocative video targeting Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem and the fighters, and after the clear and responsible positions that affirmed the rejection of sectarian incitement and attacks on all religious figures and symbols, An-Nahar newspaper insists on continuing its inciting approach by publishing false accusations and fabrications against Hezbollah that serve only projects of discord and the re-escalation of tensions on the domestic scene.
Hezbollah, which has been clear in its rejection of any insult to any figure or symbol in this country, whether religious or otherwise, rejects these accusations, which ignore its declared positions, and views them as part of incitement and attempts to reignite tensions and stir up strife.
Hezbollah’s Media Relations calls on the government, the Ministry of Information, and the judicial and security authorities to assume their responsibilities in putting an end to these violations. What is being issued by some media outlets, journalists, and politicians in the form of provocations and insults targeting a broad segment of the Lebanese people is no longer acceptable, as it aims to provoke reactions and inflame the domestic arena—especially in light of what the resistance’s support base has been subjected to and has endured since the ceasefire agreement on 27-11-2024, namely systematic media and political campaigns that directly target it and undermine its principles, values, symbols, leaders, and martyrs.
Accordingly, these parties are called upon to carry out their role without any double standards, in order to preserve stability and civil peace.”
