
Judge Ahmad Rami al-Hajj, the new Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, took the legal oath before President Joseph Aoun during a ceremony held at Baabda Palace in the presence of Justice Minister Adel Nassar and President of the Higher Judicial Council Judge Souheil Abboud.
On the occasion, Aoun stressed that strengthening the role of the judicial authority is a fundamental gateway to consolidating the state and restoring citizens’ trust in institutions, emphasizing that justice remains the last bastion for protecting rights and preserving stability.
He added: "The judiciary constitutes the basic pillar in building the state and safeguarding its prestige, and it is the citizen’s last refuge in the pursuit of justice."
He concluded by saying: "I stand by the judiciary in everything that serves to protect justice, because there is no state without a just judiciary, and no stability without fairness."
