Statement by Bar Association President Imad Martinos after meeting the President of the Republic:

The initiative of the President of the Republic constitutes a fundamental entry point to safeguarding sovereignty and recovering Lebanese territory.

I expressed my full support for his efforts and international contacts.

We call on all officials and Lebanese citizens to stand by His Excellency the President at this delicate stage in order to preserve Lebanon and its rights.

I stressed the need to stop the Israeli attacks and protect civilians, journalists, and vital facilities.

I informed His Excellency the President that we are preparing a union move to adopt a supportive position in confronting the current challenges.
