German grant to the Lebanese Army: An integrated logistics facility boosts readiness at the Beirut Naval Base

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

"An inauguration ceremony was held at the Beirut Naval Base for a fully equipped facility to provide food services, donated by the German authorities to the Army, in the presence of the German Embassy’s assistant ambassador in Lebanon, Yasmin Raya, and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment, representing Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, in addition to a number of officers.

During the ceremony, Brigadier General Amin al-Qadi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Equipment, read a letter of thanks on behalf of General Haykal and handed it to Ms. Raya, praising Germany’s role and its constant support for the Army, and considering that this project will enhance the military institution’s logistical capabilities."
