
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
"As part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to combat drug trafficking operations across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information about an unidentified individual dealing narcotics in a number of areas in Mount Lebanon. Following inquiries and investigations, the branch was able to identify him as:
Q. S. (born in 2004, Syrian national). After a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the branch’s patrols managed to arrest him in flagrante delicto in the Roumieh area while he was dealing drugs from aboard a black BMW fitted with a forged license plate, which was seized along with the vehicle. A search of him and the car led to the discovery of:
15 plastic containers containing baz substance
46 plastic containers containing cocaine
12 bags containing marijuana
One bag marked with the letter “J” containing marijuana
6 bags containing hashish
One bag marked with the number “250” containing hashish
Bags containing salvia
One bag containing 1,210 Captagon pills
A mobile phone, a sum of money, and a car plate
During questioning, he confessed to the charges against him.
The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred along with the seized items to the competent authority, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary."
