Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian informed his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin of the details of the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan, as part of continuing contacts on the regional and international file.
Pezeshkian said that “the biggest obstacle to reaching an agreement is double standards and the American tendency toward hegemony,” stressing “Iran’s readiness to reach a balanced and fair agreement that guarantees lasting peace and security in the region.”
He added: “If America adheres to international legal frameworks, reaching an agreement is possible,” stressing that “Tehran is ready to cooperate with its neighbors to achieve peace without external interference.”
