Electricité du Liban issued the following statement:
“As a result of the Israeli attacks on Lebanese infrastructure, particularly the high-voltage lines Zahrani–Tyre (220 kV), Tyre–Wadi Jilo (66 kV), and Nabatieh–Tyre (66 kV), all main transformer stations located south of the Litani River have been isolated, with the exception of the Marjayoun station, depriving the areas supplied by these stations of الكهرباء.
Accordingly, the المؤسسة’s technical teams have operated the Tyre plant independently from the grid in order to supply the areas fed by the main Tyre station, while simultaneously beginning repair work on the damaged transmission and distribution lines, in line with available capabilities and security conditions.
The المؤسسة will keep citizens informed of all developments related to fault repairs and the restoration of electricity.”
