Iran’s Foreign Ministry affirmed that Tehran is conducting negotiations with the United States “in good faith,” stressing that the American side is required to demonstrate genuine seriousness in the negotiating track.
The ministry explained that the current focus is on “ending the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon,” in reference to escalating regional tensions and their repercussions for the region.
It also revealed that the visit of Pakistan’s interior minister to Iran comes within the framework of “facilitating the exchange of messages,” in a step reflecting the continuation of indirect communication channels between the parties concerned.
Regarding Iran’s demands, the ministry stressed that Tehran’s position is “clear” in calling for the release of frozen funds, along with “an end to maritime piracy against Iranian shipping.”
