
The World Health Organization’s representative in Lebanon indicated that “we have received guarantees that Rafik Hariri Hospital and Al-Zahraa Hospital will not be targeted,” noting that “patients are still inside both facilities and have not been evacuated due to the lack of alternative locations.”
He added: “Most hospitals in Lebanon are trying to respond to the needs, but their capacity has become limited in light of the large number of casualties,” and continued: “Hospitals may lose the ability to cope with additional burdens as they reach full capacity.”
