Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said during a press meeting that “Lebanon will review and develop its plan to restrict arms, and the elements of strength Lebanon possesses in the negotiations lie in its legitimate right to its land, in addition to Arab and international support.”
He continued: “We need internal negotiations to achieve the extension of state authority and the restriction of arms.”
He said: “We are not heading toward normalization but toward peace, and Lebanon launched the Arab Peace Initiative.”
He added: “Lebanon will review and develop its plan to restrict arms.”
He continued: “There is a timetable for the Israeli withdrawal, which is the minimum required in the negotiations.”
He noted that “any high-level meeting with Israel requires extensive preparation, and a high-level meeting with the Israeli side should come only after agreement has been reached on its outcomes.”
