Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar condemned the Israeli targeting of members of the General Directorate of Civil Defense who were martyred while carrying out a rescue and emergency mission for those injured in a strike on the town of Majdal Zoun.
The Interior Minister stressed that “this criminal attack, which directly targeted three paramedics while they were performing a noble and lofty humanitarian mission, constitutes a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms, and a targeting of those who always rush to save lives without hesitation.”
Minister Al-Hajjar extended “his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the three martyrs and their colleagues in the General Directorate of Civil Defense,” affirming that “their sacrifices will remain a shining mark in the record of heroism and dedication in the service of the الوطن and its citizens.”
“May God have mercy on the martyrs, and we wish the wounded a speedy recovery.”
