Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that “the ground operation in Lebanon and the attacks on Hezbollah throughout Lebanon achieved many accomplishments, but they have not been completed.”
He continued: “If the war resumes, we will again work to remove residents from the area between the security zone and the Litani River.”
He noted that “the area between the security belt and the Litani line is still not free of gunmen, and we will continue to control all the places the Israeli army took over in southern Lebanon.”
He added: “Hezbollah will be disarmed south of the Litani either through political means or through military operations after the ceasefire ends.”
