Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that military operations are still ongoing, stressing that “the mission is not over yet” amid what he described as fundamental threats from Hezbollah, particularly those linked to specific types of missiles and drones.
Netanyahu said the Israeli army is carrying out strikes in what is known as the “security belt” area in southern Lebanon, in addition to areas north of the Litani River, noting that Israeli forces enjoy freedom of action aimed at thwarting imminent threats as well as others taking shape inside Lebanese territory.
Assessing Hezbollah’s capabilities, Netanyahu said the group currently retains only about 10% of the missile arsenal it had at the start of the war, according to his remarks.
