Abi Ramia from Baabda: Full support for Aoun and a bet on stability

MP Simon Abi Ramia, after meeting the President of the Republic at Baabda Palace:

We affirm our absolute support for President Joseph Aoun, and stand by his side and alongside the government, in order to secure peace and stability away from war and violence.

Lebanon is going through a sensitive, dangerous, and delicate phase on various levels, which requires awareness, wisdom, responsibility, prioritizing the national interest, and strengthening national unity.

We note the launch in Washington yesterday of a process within the initiative launched by the president to reach tangible results, and we stress that the priority is a ceasefire and an end to destruction.

The next phase requires extending the sovereignty of the Lebanese state, beginning with Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon, leading to the state’s exclusive control over weapons.

Saudi Arabia is playing a positive role in bringing viewpoints closer together, and we hope this will be reflected positively inside Lebanon. We support every call for dialogue and rapprochement.
